Earth Detectives Green Team at École Beaubassin celebrate their last meeting!

The Earth Detectives Green Team at École Beaubassin celebrated their last meeting by sharing together in their accomplishments for the year which included:

– Planting a tree on the school grounds

– Taking care of the vermicomposting in class

– Creating 3 videos on how to wasteless water and energy

– Fundraising to plant another tree next year by selling rain barrels

– Planting flowers

– Making signs posted around the school to turn off the lights

– Sorting waste, and holding a contest among the classes for sorting waste

– Picking up waste on the school grounds

– Participating in Earth Hour

– Piloting the growth chart

They all received certificates to recognize their accomplishments. Following that they shared their experiences from the year while looking ahead to next year. They ended the visit by going outside to show the tree they planted and to Engagement Officer Josée-Ann Cloutier. The students also showed Josée the progress they have made on their Growth Chart.
