Berwick and District School celebrate Sweater Day!

Back to stories

Although it was a warm winter day of 12 degrees, the students at Berwick and District School were happy to have their sweaters on for their early morning fire drill! Sweater day was a perfect day for every student at Berwick and District to learn about energy and how they can waste less energy. Engagement Officer, Natalie McMaster spent the day giving presentations to smaller groups of students from Primary to Grade 8. The students were very keen to learn where their energy comes from and what uses energy around them. They were very creative when brainstorming ways to waste less energy at home and school. Students were shocked to learn how much energy can be saved just by switching from incandescent to LED light bulbs. They are ready to look around their classrooms and school and start saving energy!
