Ten schools from across Nova Scotia embarked on a six-week journey to reduce waste and power usage in their halls in the 2024 Green Schools Nova Scotia Watts/Off Energy Challenge. From the get-go, it was clear that this would be no ordinary competition.
Each school poured their hearts and souls into every task of the challenge, from school energy mapping to calculating light bulb efficiency, these students were determined to make a difference in their schools and in the world. Congratulations to all schools who participated!

Week after week, the competition intensified as schools raced to the finish line gaining points with each submitted task. But through it all, École Carrefour’s Sauverts de la Terre stood out alone as the winner. Their dedication was unwavering as they tackled each week’s tasks!
