Debert Elementary Green Team minimizing waste and supporting local!

This year the Debert Elementary Green Team has been focusing on minimizing waste and supporting local!

They started their fall off with a garden harvest and made zombie smoothies with the produce for the entire school. Now that the harvest season has passed the students have been focusing on minimizing waste in the school by upcycling items from the waste bins. Some awesome ideas for holiday upcycling included reusing old Christmas cards and turning them into gift tags, turning empty toilet paper/paper towel rolls into gift pouches and star ornaments. The team had a blast, with plans to create even more at home!
