École Bois Joli’s Green Team reducing energy consumption!

École Bois Joli’s Green Team has been brainstorming ways to reduce their energy consumption both at home and at school. Their main focus has been on waste, wasting less, and recycling, with about five students who help out with waste sorting during lunch period. The students love to show the younger ones how to sort their waste properly!

The students also have some awesome initiatives coming up such as placing light switch clings around the school to remind people to turn off the lights. As well, Green Team Leader Andrew Morash is organizing a poster contest after March Break where students will make posters on ways to waste less with a focus on energy. The posters will be copied and placed around the school to raise greater awareness.

We can’t wait to see the awesome posters all around École Bois Joli!
