Exploring the History and Beauty of Ile Madame!

Last week EO Jonah had the privilege of travelling to the beautiful community of Ile Madame to engage with students at Ecole Beau Port. While in town Jonah met up with his grade primary teacher who is originally from Ile Madame and just recently retired. They drove around the island together, seeing the sights. In the historic downtown area (pictured below) they visited the cannon look-off. The history of the cannon look off is included below as well. It is always a treat to visit the historic acadian communities of Nova Scotia, especially when it coincides with the gorgeous fall colours in Cape Breton.
