Green Heroes at Valley Elementary: A Composting Adventure
Back to storiesAt Valley Elementary, the spirit of environmental stewardship is alive and thriving, thanks to the little Green Heroes in the pre-primary classes. Our dedicated Engagement Officer, Allyson, had the pleasure of visiting on October 25th and discovered a heartwarming initiative that showcases the young minds’ commitment to sustainability.
In a cozy corner, the pre-primary students have set up their own miniature composting station. With infectious enthusiasm, they diligently gather compostable items and fallen leaves, feeding them to the resident worms. It’s a magical process where nature’s recyclers transform scraps into nutrient-rich soil.
Allyson was deeply impressed by the children’s understanding and involvement in this eco-friendly endeavor. Their initiative not only reduces waste but also teaches valuable lessons about the circle of life and the importance of caring for our planet.
Valley Elementary’s pre-primary Green Heroes are demonstrating that even the smallest actions can have a big impact. We salute these Green Heros for their dedication to creating a greener, more sustainable future!
