Munro Academy returns to Abu Dhabi

Exciting news from Munro Academy!

Over January 16- 24, Munro Academy teacher Leslie Donovan and Grade 9 students Alex Whyte and Christy Davis travelled to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. Both Alex and Christy are members of Munro Academy’s Green Team and represented their school, and Canada, in the Sustainability Week conference after winning the America’s division of the Zayed Future Energy Prize annual competition.

This was a great opportunity for Munro Academy’s team to connect with an amazing group of dedicated people from around the world who are seeking creative renewable energy solutions. Munro Academy has made participating in the Zayed Future Energy Prize competition a part of their annual initiatives, winning the prize the year before, and already planning for their next submission!
