Truro Elementary School Green Team wrap up celebration!

Truro Elementary School’s Green Team had a successful year and wrap up celebration at their last meeting!

They started their last meeting by recapping everything they did this year:

* Creating videos to raise awareness on how to sort garbage appropriately and it’s importance.

* Cleaning the school grounds during Earth week.

* Taking care of sorting and recycling weekly over the lunch hour.

* Collecting bottles as a fundraiser.

* Holding an energy efficiency observational walk around the school.

Then Certificates of Awesomeness were presented to each Green Team member. They also reflected and discussed the year, how they felt about their accomplishments and the environment, along with brainstorming goals for next year. The meeting ended with a game of charades on ways to stay green and cool this summer.
