Watts Off 2025: Celebrating Our Energy Champions!

Back to stories

Over the past six weeks, Grade 6 students across Nova Scotia have been hard at work taking on the 2025 Watts Off Energy Challenge—and their efforts have been nothing short of inspiring!

From energy mapping their schools and homes to investigating energy use and creating savings plans, these students have shown incredible dedication to understanding and conserving energy. 💡⚡️

Throughout the challenge, classrooms engaged in hands-on activities that brought energy concepts to life. Students explored where and how energy is used in their schools, identified ways to reduce consumption, and even took action at home to make a difference.

🎉 Congratulations to Caldwell Road Elementary! 🎉

After weeks of energy-saving efforts, Caldwell Road Elementary has emerged as the 2025 Watts Off Energy Challenge Champion! 🏆 Their dedication and hard work in reducing energy use and embracing sustainability truly set them apart. A huge round of applause to the students and teachers who made this possible!

We also want to recognize all the schools that participated—you are all energy champions! Your commitment to conservation is making a real impact in your communities and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s challenge. Keep up the amazing work, and let’s continue to power up for a greener future! 🌍💚
